Welllllll, it's over! I can't say for sure the odds of getting in, but I think I did fairly well (?)

In my opinion the interview went well. It was a bit too fast and hectic for me since I had to go through talking about 11 pieces (and in the process messed up my order since my pieces were scattered and I wanted to get to all of them). I BSed so well. One of the interviewers asked me what my favourite part of Toronto is and I was just like, well, culturally...Queen Street because everytime I go there I learn something new.

One of my interviewers was the same prof Qian got. We talked about Mr Eisen ahahaha. <-- fail
And jellyfish. They showed a fair bit of interest in my work (I think explained well), but they asked me a lot of questions. Questions like why architecture, or what my favourite building in Toronto is..

And then they asked me to talk about myself. I was like, well you see I have very diverse interests, because I don't believe that living a narrow life allow you the fullest of living. I think diversity helps you understand the perspectives of other people. And they were like, well explain your diversity. I said that when you first look at me you can't really tell that I'm actually a very big football soccer fan (one of them agrees), and also about the diverse taste of music (I had to explain post rock to them). IDK. It felt like I was simply trying to sell myself.

One of the students asked me how I work and what my art does for me, and also if art is an outlet for me (he seemed very interesting. He actually comes from a film background :O)

Taking my cue from Candice, when they asked me if I have questions, I asked why they picked Waterloo (ahahahaha I win.) The student dude talked about wanting another edge to his film, and Eisen's neighbour talked about how she just wanted to get the fuck away from Kitchener <-- ahahha.

At the end, the other prof told me that he really enjoyed the interview (it sounded like he means it), and all of them started to give me tips on how to pass the precis (show rough work...read carefully, be articulate) and wished me good luck.

The précis on the other hand...I expected the reading to be more challenging in terms of language, but the content was pretty intense. I didn't fully grasp it on the first reading, but as I took notes I started to understand and see the arguments. I think I did an okay piece of writing to summarize the essay, but my thesis statement was done like in the very last minute so it probably sucks.. I also didn't write a good copy of the precis so I hope they can read it.

Anyway, I'll know if I get accepted by next Thursday, waitlisted/rejected on Friday. I'm even more nervous than before the interviewwwwww D:

Benzema + Juve=???

Well OBVIOUSLY I don't want him to go. But this is actually quite a possibility. Again, I suspect it well depend on their chances of winning CL.

Going on hiatus!

Due to taking up 2 physics, biology and calculus on top of chemistry and AP English, I decide that I have to devote all my time this last year of high school towards schoolwork, community projects, and volunteering (and tuition classes in art and calc/functions.)

Estimated return date is May 2009.

*Wish me luck on getting into architecture! :) Or health sciences, that too..

Inter Milan have commenced court proceedings against Hajduk Split insisting the club be thrown after fielding an ineligible player.

OMFG YOU ARE KIDDING. HE PLAYED?! HE PLAYED AND I MISSED IT. OMG. WHY. WHY SLAVKO, I THOUGHT YOU WERE IN MACEDONIA!!!!!!!!!

On 28th June we reported that Hajduk had signed Goran Slavkovski from Inter Milan on a 5 year deal. The Macedonian, dubbed the new Ibrahimovic because of his Swedish roots and similar style of play was thought to be headed to Treviso before the Dalmatian club stepped in at the last minute.

Now it seems that despite featuring in two friendlies and a Uefa Cup game, the deal hasn't been ratified, nor has Slavkovski received confirmation of his contract from the club.

Slavkoski's manager, and in particular Inter Milan, are crying foul, demanding their expulsion from the competition. Hajduk have so far refused to comment.

Meanwhile, new Numancia manager Sergio Kresic has given Hajduk a fighting chance in their second round match up against Deportivo La Coruna.

"Deportivo are not as strong a team as [they were] a few years ago. Last season they had a great many problems."

"They concentrated on a counter-attacking game, insisting on 4-4-2 formation that left them in the danger zone, but when they changed to 3-5-1-1 they climbed up to 9th place"

He was still keen to point out that Deportivo remain favourites, mainly due to changes both on and off the pitch at Hajduk.

"Hajduk has in this season completely changed the way they play, and one cannot drastically change in 1 or 2 months of training."

I knew something was wrong when Inter didn't talk about Slavko when he signed for Hajduk. I hope he doesn't get into a slump or something from this. Or suspended. Like mah Clerc did. MAN, I wonder if there are photos. HE WAS IN TWO FRIENDIES? AND A UEFA CUP QUALIFICATION, YOU ARE KIDDING.

I am so unimpressed. I was over at the Cristiano Ronaldo fan forum (because [info]crystal_style  pointed me to the massive Benzema thread there). And guess what I find? The pictures I dig up and screencap reposted by people who don't give me any credit. Look, I spend hours screencapping from afp and going through the literately thousands of pictures over the Lyon stalker's blog (who already watermarks his shit so I'm not steal in any way). Then people just look at my LJ and freaking rip stuff without any credit.

Remember me posting these pictures here? Well, here they are again! Look, I stalk Karim yes, but if you stalk me stalking Karim, that's just creepy. Unless you're one of my friends, which makes it less creepy because you're supposed to stalk me.

I was never interested in turning my LJ into a friends only blog, but I guess this is why. I wanted people to be able to see what I'm interested in and then add me, but I guess not.

Interesting enough, this is what happened to my art. I hate art thieves and I hate people who do this.

(stolen from [info]pints because I've been planning to do this for a while anyway)
The Big Read reckons that the average adult has only read 6 of the top 100 books they've printed.
1) Look at the list and bold those you have read.
2) Italicize those you intend to read.
3) Underline the books you LOVE.
4) Strike through the ones that you'd never read in a month of Sundays

Only a miserable 37 books read out of a hundred... ): Maybe I shouldn't bother with Solzhenitsyn ;_;

Macedonian young striker, Goran Slavkovski, will spend the next season in the italian Serie B club Treviso. He continues his loan moves after he spent the second half of the last season playing for Sheffield United FC. The 19 years old talented striker is still under contract with FC Internazionale Milano SpA. He came there from swedish club Malmö FF 3 yearst ago. Recently he decided for which national team he will play and he chose Macedonia over Sweden.

His new club, Treviso FBC had a short adventure in the popular Serie A in the 2005-2006 season but finished bottom last and eventually was relegated. Last season Treviso finished on the 17th place with 45 points, equal points with 18 placed Vicenza Calcio who went into the play-outs.
It is expected that next season Treviso will also fight to avoid relegation

Exams finished yesterday, so I was free to do anything today ♥

in school news, I totally aced my english exam (Ms. Klug said she really liked my exam, and so I think I will get 85 again..:\)
Psychology = easy as HECK. I really think I can get 93ish final mark? Art was good :) I might not get so well b/c of a missed assignment that was worth 15% of final mark :| *fears* It will be the first time I did not get 90 in art.. CHEMM.............oh my chem. I felt like I did well on the exam, but I can never be sure with chem. I'm taking jPod for Fashion/Design/Advertising, as in making my own course. I stalk a bunch of OCAD students on LJ, and the market for graphic designers is terrible right now. I think I really need to reconsider my choices. Maybe I should go into health sciences? I do want to apply to Ryerson, but I really really really doubt the job market for anything art-y is great. So McMasters? Health Sciences? Or do I need to stay back a year to take calculus? Maybe I really shouldn't pick with I like and stick with what is secure..

So, in the end, I went downtown with [info]0olala  and (window)shopped at Eaton's, Chinatown and on Queen Street. Apparently, it is impossible to find the perfect yellow flipflops these days, but no matter :) We got some cool stuff (no, not really). But what WAS cool was that many stores on Spadina were flying Turkey's flag ♥ (and Croatia, but Zine probably don't want to hear that).

And [info]shinraisei, I went to the Adidas store and THERE WAS NO HOT RED FRANCE JACKET :@
They did have replica EURO2008 jerseys, and were like 100$+tax. BUT, I did find Benzema's shoes (the white adiPURE one)

AJ, THERE WAS HUGE TFC STOREFRONT STUFF (@another store) OMG. Ball, bag, scarf, shirts, jersey...everything
